TOPSKI
The runs of Ovovia and Pulicchio
 |
Zeno 1
The
steepest and most difficult run at Abetone. Very wide at the start, it has some large bumps in the middle before
it joins Zeno 2 as it enters the narrower forest trail. Little traffic and ideal for skiing in fresh snow.
Technical Data:
Category: Black.
Length: 1300m. Vertical Descent: 350m (1900-1550) |
 |
Zeno 2
A run for everyone, with some challenging
steeps. Wide and long through the first part of the woods, then 3 steep sections
in a row followed by a long straight semi-flat leading to the final part of the trail through the woods which everyone will enjoy.
Technical Data:
Category: Red. Length:
2500m. Vertical Descent: 570m (1900-1330) |
 |
Zeno 3
& Slalom
Run
Quite a
demanding run. The top part runs along the divide affording panoramic views, after which it is faces the most beautiful wide and steep
slope to the right.
The central part is characterised by a long straight with a moderate slope leading to the start of the slalom
run, a new track that draws a series of unmistakable 'figure of eights' in the
snow. This part is the most difficult with sections full of elevation changes and is often the scene of competitions at all levels.
Technical Data:
Category: Red. Length:
2600m. Vertical Descent: 570m (1900-1330) |
 |
Stucchi
The longest run at Abetone and a modest challenge. It begins at the end of the button lift link from the
Seletta area. Starting with a slightly steep section, it then slips into the woods in a series of rollercoaster undulations. For the final part there are two choices - going to the left you will join Zeno
2, or to the right there is a new section of track which takes you across to
Riva and thence back to Seletta by chairlift.
Technical Data:
Category: Red. Length:
3000m. Vertical Descent: 570m (1900-1330) |

Nursery
Slope Area
To the right of the Ovovia base station is the nursery slope area designed especially for those who are starting to ski. It is served by the Ovovia Magic Carpet which smoothly, safely and simply glides along to the delight of young and old as they rapidly learn the basics. Then they can progress onto the Zeno 3 button lift which takes them up to the easier category blue section of the
Zeno 3 run.

Seghi
One of the nicest runs in the Pulicchio area, it is reached from Monte Gomito via a
branch off Zeno 3. It is also served directly from Faidello base station by a
fast, modern detachable quad covered chairlift. It starts with a very wide steep section
with a difficulty level ranging between blue, red and borderline black depending
on where you choose. The slope then gently undulates down through the relaxing forest area until it arrives at Faidello base station.
Technical Data:
Category: Blue/Red. Length:
2100m. Vertical Descent: 440m (1680-1240) |
 |
Coppi
A challenging run, often used for competitions of all levels. A mild start with panoramic vistas leads
into the central part of the route which is more challenging. It is characterised by deep
rollercoaster undulations and two particularly steep slopes, the second of which poses a serious challenge even to
more expert skiers. So that intermediates can still enjoy it, an easier opt-out across onto Seghi is provided as an alternative route down to Faidello base station.
Technical Data:
Category: Blue/Red. Length:
2200m. Vertical Descent: 440m (1680-1240) |
 |
Pulicchio
A slope with a lot of character, which runs through
woodland.
