Why is Abetone ideal for intermediates?

I was lucky! I learned to ski when I was 6 years old. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to have skied in many places and countries around the world. I love skiing with a passion!

So what in my opinion makes Abetone so good for intermediates?

AN EXCITING ARRAY OF SLOPES OF VARYING DIFFICULTY ...

The change from beginner to intermediate should be a matter of 'evolution' rather than 'revolution'.

When you have learned the 'basics' and are ready to face exciting new skiing or snowboarding challenges, Abetone offers plenty for you to enjoy!

From the moment you leave the nursery slope and venture up the mountain for the first time, there are 'cruisy blues' that let you start to use your new found skills in a safe and secure way - maximising your pleasure and excitement and enabling your confidence to grow.

... WITH SOME OF THE NEWEST AND BEST LIFT SYSTEMS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD ...

Following a massive renewal programme in recent years, Abetone now has some of the best lift systems you'll find anywhere in the world.

Despite this, it still has probably the shortest lift queues you'll find - and often no queues at all!

Most lifts are now fast chairs or gondolas and in fact there is only a single 'button-type' drag lift that you would need to use in order to tour around every single slope in every resort area on the Abetone Multipass!!

Amazing!

The lift systems are really well thought out and there are very few places where you cannot go straight from lift to lift. This is especially useful for snowboarders for whom 'flats' and 'uphill climbs' are particularly irritating!

What's more, any intermediate capable of handling red runs will find that they have pretty much 'access all areas'. There are only two 'official' black runs.

... AND UNCROWDED SLOPES THAT LET YOU ENJOY YOURSELF TO THE FULL.

We call Abetone "Italy's best-kept secret!". What we mean by this is that it offers everything that you could possibly wish for in a resort, but without the crowds or the cost of comparable better-known resorts.

At the time of writing, no known UK tour operator offers packages to this destination and it remains almost exclusively a playground for Italians.

Whilst this situation may not last forever, right now is certainly a great time to experience everything that Abetone has to offer!

SAMPLE AUTHENTIC TUSCAN CUISINE IN THE MOST PICTURESQUE SURROUNDINGS!

You can relax in the sunshine and enjoy fantastic mountain-top views whilst munching your way through plates of the most delicious food!

What's more, it's so inexpensive that you really won't be able to believe that you're actually in a ski resort! You can let the whole family choose whatever they like without worrying about the cost.

WITH AFFORDABLE PRIVATE TUITION ...

Although Abetone offers excellent ski schools, it's a recognised fact that there's no quicker, better or safer way to improve your skiing or snowboarding technique than with a private tutor.

Of course you can do this in most resorts, but the big difference at Abetone is affordability.

The tutors at Abetone by and large charge very reasonable rates for anything from an individual to a small group. They will offer times to suit your convenience, and you can pay for as much or as little time as you need!

... VALUE-FOR-MONEY LIFT PASSES ...

Lift passes at Abetone are some of the cheapest anywhere. Afternoon passes available from 12:00 until close let you discover 'excitement on a budget' with prices from well under £15!

Progress from slope to slope trying one zone at a time until finally you are ready for the 'Abetone Multipass' - the best value all area access pass ever!

Buying passes daily also lets you skip a day if you fancy a rest or don't like the look of the weather - without it costing you. Why not visit Lucca, Pisa or Florence instead and chill out? This is a great idea for people who are not quite so addicted to the idea of 'ski, ski, ski' - like Trudi, for example!!

On the other hand, if even everything Abetone has to offer still isn't enough for you, then just a little further away you can experience a whole new adventure at 'Monte Cimone'. A similar size to Abetone, this is another multiple zone resort and offers a wealth of slopes and quality lift systems for you to enjoy!

... AND HIGH QUALITY MODERN LIFTS TOO ...

Comparing prices with other resorts you'll find that you can enjoy so much more for so much less in Tuscany.

For example, do you really want to pay 5 Euros or more for a small bottle of water in a French resort like 'Les Trois Valées' when you can pay a Euro or less in Abetone?

With five mountains, four resort 'zones' and eleven brand new lifts installed in recent years, at Abetone you won't get bored.

Even compared to the supposedly 'cheap' Eastern European resorts like Kranskja Gora in Slovenia which are becoming popular, Abetone has so many more lifts and slopes to enjoy, is higher in altitude with better chances of good snow, has superior provision for beginners as described above and yet costs about the same if not less!

Amazing!

More lifts, better slopes, lower prices and fantastic Tuscan hospitality is why we think ...

... ABETONE REALLY IS: 'HEAVEN FOR INTERMEDIATES'!!
